The highest mountain in Japan at 3,776.24 m (12,389 ft) and 7th-highest peak of an island in the world, Mount Fuji.
I climbed the mountain on Aug.15th.

Climbing Mt. Fuji tour report
At Mt. Fuji 9th station at 2AM
After arriving to Mt.Fuji 5th station, I and my other tour members started preparation.
I saw many foreign people who do not bring much clothes and they were saying “coooold…”

I started climbing from the station at 11:30 am.
Mt. Fuji 6th station (at 2,940 m)
Mt. Fuji 7th station (at 3,010 m)
Mt. Fuji 8th station (at 3,250 m)
From 8th station to 9th station, I found very hard to walk because of lots of rocks.

We arrived at 9th station at 6 pm and had dinner and short nap.
“萬年雪山荘” means “a mountain cottage covered by snow for 10,000 years”
You may buy cans of beer at the station at 500 yen. But the air is very thin so that you should be careful not to enjoy too much. 🙂
I left the 9th station at 2:45 am to the top of the mountain.
We kept going up under beautiful stars.

We arrived the top at 4:30 am and were waiting until rise of the sun.
We call the sun at Mt. Fuji, “ご来光” which means “the light coming to us”.

I was very surprised that I could get everything that I need for climbing at every stations, like drinking water, chocolates, even Sake!
So that you do not need to bring many heavy bottles causing consuming your energy.
